The 30 m antenna at the DLR site in Weilheim is to be made suitable for transmission for future project support in the X-band. A new sub reflector is to be procured in order to improve the antenna's surface efficiency. The shape of the sub reflector was determined in advance by DLR simulations. The sub reflector has a diameter of 4.5 meters.
The new design is rotationally symmetrical and follows the equation: see application document:
The course of the variable x follows from: x=0 m to x=2.25 m.
The surface accuracy should be better than 0.2 mm RMS.
The current weight is around 1200 kg.

The requirements of the export control law applicable to the project must be taken into account, in particular the handling of goods under the Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance (AWV), the EC Dual-Use Regulation (EC Regulation 428/2009), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Planned delivery period: The system is to be delivered within 12 months of the order being placed at the latest.
